• 1 cup flour (plain or wholemeal)

  • 1 cup bran

  • 1/2 cup fruit (raisins or dates)

  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 28 grams butter

  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Mix dry ingredients.

Dissolve baking soda in milk.

Melt butter and golden syrup.

Mix all together lightly.

Bake in greased patty pans for 10-15 minutes in a hot oven (I would guess 200-210°C).
