Muesli Number 2

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons ground millet

  • 2 tablespoons skim milk powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice

  • 1/2 teaspoon all spice

  • 1/2 cup raw sugar

  • 1/2 cup wheat germ

  • 1/2 cup bran

  • mixed dry fruit (optional)


Method

I can vividly remember Nan (my Grandma) making me bowls of this muesli and warm milk for breakfast when I would visit her and Granddad in their Invercargill home. I’ve made this before as well, and opted not to add the fruit, so I’ve marked that as optional. Really, really, really yummy.

Mix all ingredients (except fruit) in an oven dish and bake at 120°C, turning occasionally for 30 minutes / until dry. Mix through dried fruit as desired.
