Toffee of Suckers

Not sure who the suckers were, Nan?

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

  • Lollipop sticks

  • Optional - fruit and nuts to taste.

Method

Stir in saucepan until melted. Boil hard until cracks in water - no stirring. (Nan means a small drop of toffee in a glass of cold water should cool brittle and snap easily). Put in buttered dishes and add sticks. Add fruit and nuts if liked.

Leave to set.
