1/4 tablespoon dry yeast
570ml lukewarm water assuming this is an imperial pint?
1/2 tablespoon sugar
7 cups white flour
1 teaspoon salt
White Bread (from Judith)
Combine yeast, water, and sugar in a large bowl. Leave for 10 minutes until bubbly.
Add flour and salt and mix well. Knead until dough is no longer sticky.
Return dough to the bowl and cover. Place in a warm place to rise until double in size (approximately 1 and 1/2 hours).
Punch down (literally punch the dough - this doesn’t mean make jokes about minorities har har har).
Divide into two loaves. Place in pans or shape on oven trays, cut tops.
Leave to rise in a warm place until doubled.
Bake at 175°C for 25-30 minutes.
